"I like going places that never feel the same…if that makes sense. It’s sorta like when people tell me they don’t like California. Or even Los Angeles. And then I sit there sounding pretentious trying to explain to them that you can’t generalize such a diverse place in such few words. You can’t equate Glendale with Long Beach, maaan. So, when the opportunity came to head to Mexico City with the Vans squad to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand, I jumped. The last time I was in Mexico City, I stayed in a hostel that was overrun with German tourists (men) with a pension for being naked, I dislocated my index finger on day three, and I’m convinced, to this day, that we almost got kidnapped. It wasn’t a bad trip, but you know, I wouldn’t do it again."
